LNYF 2018. Lunar New Year Festivals are a long standing tradition in cities across the world. I wanted retain some of the traditional aspects of the festival but also generate higher attendence and get young adults interested in the event. With a design brief and research established, a rebrand was in order to modernize the festival and appeal to a different audience.
The main objective is to create a graphic identity for LNYF that can be used for years to come. A mark that is reused every year to build brand recongization. This mark must be simple, have fluid application properties, scale to any size, and represent the organization. The identity will be applied to applications or user touchpoints. Lasty, redesign the web experience while remaining cohessive with the brand identity.
